Information for medical students

We have a friendly and valued Practice Staff and Medical Students will find themselves welcomed and very quickly integrated into the Practice team.

Essentially your attachment is what you make of it. There will be plenty of opportunity to learn in a supportive environment as well as contribute to real patient care and experience both a busy town medical practice and rural dispensing practice.

Opportunities will exist for audit and where possible arrangements made to facilitate experience in any areas of special interest.

Dr Louise Scott is the contact for student electives and the many Dutch and German students we have welcomed to the Practice. She also supervises attachment of students from Aberdeen University Medical School. Dr Juanita Macleod is our GP Trainer. Within the Practice the various GPs have special interests, experience or other commitments including Forensic Medicine, Psychiatry, Ophthalmology, Medical Management, Child Protection, Infection Control, GP Training, Emergency Medicine including Search and Rescue.
