The Group Practice is a family medical practice based in Stornoway, Isle of Lewis and Habost, Ness, Isle of Lewis.

We are a GP Training Practice with a Practice Area covering the whole of the Island and work closely with NHS Western Isles to provide the full complement of General Medical Services for patients registered with us.

Many of our clinics are nurse led and include:

  • Cervical smear
  • Well man
  • Treatment Room
  • Asthma Clinic
  • Diabetes Clinic
  • Immunisation (child)
  • Leg Ulcer Clinic
  • Travel Advice
  • Well woman
  • COPD Clinic

We provide minor surgery, ante natal shared care, contraceptive and sexual health services.

In addition we have doctors registered to undertake a number of non NHS Services for which we charge including: Aviation medicals, HGV, DVLA, Oil & Gas UK Offshore medicals, Merchant Navy ENG 1 medicals. We are also a registered Yellow fever immunisation centre

It's that time of year again

The annual flu vaccine is offered from October onwards for everyone aged 65 and over, pregnant women, everyone with serious health condition, and all health care workers.

It is also offered to all primary school children, as well as children aged 2-5 years who are not yet in primary school. Children in secondary school are not currently included in the programme. However, children of all ages with a serious health condition will be offered the flu vaccine from 6 months of age.
