Teaching
The Group Practice in Stornoway and Habost is a Training Practice. A qualified doctor currently training in General Practice may be attached to the surgery and will do clinics and home visits. They will occasionally video their clinics and your permission will be requested before this takes place. Dr Walker is the Trainer and Dr Dickie the Deputy Trainer. Medical students and others undergoing training may also be attached to the practice from time to time, under the supervision of Dr Dickie. They sit in on consultations and may undertake consultations supervised by a doctor. We will explain this to you and request your permission. If you do not wish the student to be present we will respect your wishes. This will not affect your treatment in any way.
